Making a monster!

Had a lot of fun creating this handsome guy.

Wanted to see with a lean work flow how fast you could push through a full character. Keeping it simple I went with a monster style character with no accessories and want to create a nice end result within a week. 

Using ZBrush, Maya and Vray NEXT for rendering I was able to push through each stage swiftly getting to the desired beauty render. Using Vray’s view port IPR was a god send and made getting a light setup a breeze. 4k maps were used… Displacement, Diffuse, Normal and basic Gloss map.

I also used quick rig in Maya for the pose… another awesome tool for getting different looks with little fuss.
